How long do you take in the shower?

Hmm..depends on who's in the shower...lol  Usually, I'm not a real long shower taker, probably because I'm a mom and usually last to shower and theres no hot water!  But there are days when I take my time and do all the stuff, shave, buff and exfoliate...and lots of lotion afterwards.

If you could do anything you want tomorrow, what would it be?

I would spend it flying to DisneyWorld, so I could spend the 4th there and watch the great fireworks there!  Spend the weekend relaxing for a change!

What's your favorite time of day and why?

My favorite time of the day is about half and hour before sunset.  The sky is beautiful, it usually begins to cool down and it seems the world around me begins to quiet and get ready for the nights journey.  Sitting outside, reading or sipping tea, maybe a fire in the firebowl, and the peace watching the sun rest in the west.  

What does your flag mean to you?

Freedom, Fight, Future...The blue to me stands for the freedom we share, because its a dark color, the honor and nobility of our country.  Red of course for the Fight, past and present to hold that freedom, the blood of heros and just the everyday joes that fight the fight to keep us a nation of free thinkers, and allow us the freedom to speak our minds and hearts, to practice our beliefs, to unite when needed. White, for the future, it's purity unstained and waiting, that we hold that future for our nation's greatness as an open minded, free thinking, nation, able to help others in need and allow them their rights as they so wish.

Thirteen things...in honor of this day!

1)  Buy 13 donuts, instead of 12

2) wear 13 rings on your fingers

3)  plant 13 marigolds in the yard

4) say hello to 13 random people on the street

5) Boil up 13 eggs and make deviled eggs

6) arrange 13 candles on the dinner table, from votives to tapers for fancy dinner tonight

7)  set the timer for 13 minutes and de-clutter

8)  collect 13 recipes and plan ahead for 2 weeks

9)  can you say 13 loads of laundry?  you can do it, wash curtains, blankets etc

10) make cupcakes for Fathers Day, yep 13, you can sneak the 13th one!

11)  remind everyone that its Friday the 13th, collect 13 tales of misfortune and giggle over them (don't stupid things always happen on this day)

12)  kiss your husband 13 times, tell him you love him

13)  send out 13 thinking of you cards, either mail or email to friends that you talk to everyday, they will be touched!

I'm having a pity party for myself.  I know I shouldn't but everyone deserves one once in awhile.  I'm nervous, worried and hurting.  I injured my knee several years back, ( I was clipped offsides at a high school football game), I hurt my kneecap about a year after that, and got clipped from the other side by a sheep!  Its bothered me off and on for all this time.  I saw an orthopedic doctor, a few years ago, he suggested physical theraphy and hopefull that would help.  Now, I'm hurting.  It doesn't hurt badly or as the nurses say from 1-10, 10 being unbearable, its about a 8, more than a nagging toothache.  lol...my pity party is...well, my husband, hurt his in Feb, I babied him around til his surgery and after.  Drove him here and there, helped him put his d*mned undies on even.  Tomorrow I go to the surgeon to see what they will do, have to have x-rays, already have the MRI.  And do you think he could with me?? Its my right knee, kills me to drive, think he could?  oh no...he's busy...so I have to go do it all by myself.  Now, usually I'm pretty self relient.  I can do most anything, but I'm hurting, scared and I feel like after I boobed him along for 8 weeks or more, the least he could do would be to drive me to the doctor.  So, tea is served, with chocolates...I'm going to wallow awhile!

Why not...lol  I'm doing it for the fun of it.  Its a way to express yourself, and just see whats going on in the world.  I like vox..seems more adult than my space..

What are your first thoughts upon waking?

Usually its...oh darn...morning already??  whats the weather doing? what am I doing today?  is it worth getting up? ok...5 more minutes! 

Okay, the wind is not blowing 100mph...I can actually get outside and stand up.  Its the day to catch up the yard work.  Jack, my son is up for helping and we'll get alot done.  I've whined enough about my knee (old football injury) that he feels sorry for me trying to mow it all...(3+acres)   And I finally did it, made the appointment with an orthopedic surgeon to do something with the dang thing, I'm killing my kidneys on pain meds..whew...such is life...oh nooo..the wind is picking up...gotta go...
