What could we do to create a world with less violence?
I am a firm believer in the "pay it forward" thought. I think if everyone would do one act each day, it would make an incredible change in the world.
Who was the meanest teacher you had in school?
ooohhh...I went to a catholic grammer school in Chicago, St Vincent de Paul. It was run by nuns...yes the dreaded, black and white penguins. We had one nun who would, if you were seriously in trouble, make you take everything out of your desk and kneel and hold it all in your arms for hours. We had one that would pull hair, and rap your hands with a ruler or a pointer til you couldn't close them. And when we were in the 7th grade, one who wouldn't let you go to the bathroom. I don't know how many times, my friend Laura pee'd herself. She was the same nun who would sprinkle the pink sawdust stuff on the puke and then make you clean it up...enhancing yourself to vomit yet again!
I know in the big city the school was a great place, but boy oh boy the nuns were scary.
What are the goofy nicknames you have for your pet? Bonus points for sharing a picture of him/her.

What did you do for fun when you were a kid? How is it different from what you see kids doing now?

Barbie! My best friend and I played Barbies'. We played for hours and hours, my older sister sewed and we had clothes for them til they were hauled around in a suitcase! When we got bored with barbie, we played dress-up. We had a playhouse on her backporch and we played and played. Even conned her younger brother into it. We had a church on the corner of the block and every few months they held a rummage sale. It was like heaven, we'd spend hours looking for the perfect dress up clothes! Now kids play video games and watch movies...geez...no fun at all.

What's your favorite type of cheese? Or, if you don't like cheese, why not?
Submitted by Draegon Scribe.
I had forgotten how good string cheese was til today, either that or I was way more hungry than normal. The kids had picked some out, and I found it in the frig. wow...it was good, rubbery, and just right. Normally I'm a cream cheese lover, I like it on crackers for lunch or dinner...lol. I've always preferred finger foods, snack- type dinners.
What do you daydream about? Is it something far-fetched, or something that might actually happen?

I don't have much time to day dream, but usually as I fall asleep, I try to imagine how things would be different. It helps me fall asleep many times. Like lately I've been thinking of turning our old ranch house into a bed and breakfast. Even tho, I doubt it will ever happen, I picture it each night as I remodel it, so it will be perfect. I have the paneling and areas all mapped out in my head!! I can even imagine, how fun it would be having guests!!
Silly I know, but heck it helps me to sleep.
What's the best thing about your mom?
My mother had patience and elegance. She could do anything with nothing, she was amazing! She passed on when I was 7, and I can remember to this day the parties and decorations she would have for our home. She would spend weeks baking cookies for christmas, not a batch or two, but dozens of dozens of the most elaborate cookies. The dinners with china from her home in England, silver she had family in England send. Linens and wineglasses, the works! She could do laundry, polish silver, arrange flowers and be ready for a crowd and think nothing of it. I can remember sitting at the top of the staircase, watching guests arrive, and her just being so elegant. She threw her very being into being the best mother and wife a woman could be. Her private letters home to her parents and sister tell the story, and now after she has been gone 40yrs and I'm now a mom, I appreciate her letters all the more. She was homesick and worried about them, and yet her love and dedication to us was all encompassing. She was amazing, she was my mother.
What are you most sensitive about?
I guess I am most sensitive about how people relate to me and me to them. I avoid confrontation because I always want to be the nice guy (girl). I am definately hard to get to know unless you ask the right questions.
